2004-09-09 [Mitsune]: Nope, English is my first language... Hiragana was pretty easy for me to learn, I still ahve trouble with katakana though... don't practice enough...

2004-09-09 [Spica]: don't worry!! if you can write hiragana, everyone will understand what you're trying to say. katakana we only use for words from foreign countries ^_^

2004-09-09 [Mitsune]: Well I just straight memorized them. But you should see if you can make hiragana flash cards. Like in my Japanese clas we play with these cards that have hiragana and katakana on them... Or you could go to that website on the bottom of the Japanese alphabets it a practice page and it's really help me . *Faints from lack of air*

2004-09-10 [Juliel]: another way... that was mine... is to start to write a i u e o over and over until you know them, and then write a i u e o ka ki ku ke ko until you know them and so on... T__T that's what I did

2004-09-11 [Spica]: i think the flash cards idea is good!! i used to do those and traced the words onto paper when i learned hiragana and katakana..... although kanji is something else!! >.< oh it's difficult to remember them!!!

2004-10-12 [Mitsune]: 15 characters in a week isn't bad... It's pretty good actually! You should try flashcards or that site on the Japanese Alphabets page. It's really helpful...
